The report for your provider
A letter with the times and numbers, to copy as text or save as a PDF.
When the trouble is beyond your home, your provider will ask for times and numbers. The report has them. Press Report in the toolbar, or choose Check › Report. It comes with the unlock; until then it carries a lock. What does it cost?
What it says
- When it was measured, then the sentence and its line.
- Everything else the check found.
- How we know: the signal, the band, your router’s usual reply, its slow replies and lost replies, Apple’s usual reply and lost replies, how long names took, and your speed if you ran Test Speed.
- What watching logged in the last 24 hours, if it’s on. Keep watching
- “Measured on this Mac by Plain Air. It talks only to the router, the Mac’s DNS server and Apple.”
Send it
- Copy as Text puts it on the clipboard, to paste into an email or a chat with your provider.
- Save as PDF saves it where you choose, named like “Wi-Fi report 2026-10-31.pdf”.
It’s for your provider, or whoever set up your router. The change Tell your provider has a Make a report button that opens it too.
