Plain Air in the menu bar

Turn on Show in the menu bar in Plain Air › Settings › Watching: “The glyph, and a word when something is off.” It’s off until you turn it on, and comes with the unlock. What does it cost?

The word

Beside the glyph, one or two words from your last check: Pauses, Weak signal, Slow Wi-Fi, Slow internet, No internet, Sign in, Slow names, Crowded, Wi-Fi off, No Wi-Fi or No reply, and Checking while a check runs. When all is fine, there’s just the glyph.

The word comes from your last check: the menu bar doesn’t check by itself. To keep a log while the window is closed, turn on Keep watching too.

The panel

Click the glyph to see:

• the sentence from your last check, and the path in small
• what watching has logged, such as “Your Wi-Fi dropped twice in the last 12 hours.”
• Open Plain Air and Check Again
• Keeping watch, with the drops in the last 12 hours, or Watching is off

With the menu bar on, closing the window leaves Plain Air in the menu bar.
