Shortcuts actions
Ask which apps won’t open after macOS 27, or whether one app is native.
Vernacular adds two actions to the Shortcuts app. Both only read. They come with the unlock. What does it cost?
- Which apps won’t open after macOS 27? “Reads this Mac and lists the apps and add-ons that need you, with what happens to each.” It returns the answer, then one line for each, such as “Wayfarer: Stops: Intel only.”
- Is this app native? “Says whether an app runs natively on this Mac, and what happens to it after macOS 27.” Give it an app; it returns the app’s name and its sentence.
You can also ask Siri: “Which apps won’t open in Vernacular”.
The first action reads the same places the app does: the Applications folder, the folders you added in Vernacular, and the add-ons.
If Shortcuts says “Shortcuts are part of Vernacular Unlock. Open Vernacular to unlock.”, open Vernacular once after buying or restoring, then run the shortcut again.
