Settings
Watching, Apple’s own apps, adding a folder, and the unlock. Everything that runs in the background is off until you turn it on.
Open Vernacular › Settings (⌘,).
Watching
All off until you turn them on, and part of the unlock. Until then they carry a lock, and switching one on opens the unlock. Note new Intel-only apps, and the menu bar
- Note new Intel-only apps: “Watches your Applications folders, printers and audio plug-ins, and reads again when something arrives.”
- Show in the menu bar: “What’s left to do, and a quiet note when something Intel only arrives.”
- Open at login: “Only needed for the note above.”
Below Watching
- Include Apple’s own apps: “They all run natively; off keeps the roll short.” Off at first. Switching it reads again.
- Add a folder or disk: “Your own Applications folder, or a disk with apps on it. Vernacular only reads it.” Add a folder or disk
- Unlock Vernacular, until you’ve bought it, and Restore Purchase. Restore your purchase
- “Vernacular never connects to the internet, except the App Store’s own purchase and restore.”
