The report
A page with the answer, a lane for each thing that needs you and what to do, to copy as text or save as a PDF.
The report is for whoever looks after your Mac, or for your own records. Press Report in the toolbar, or choose Read › Report. It comes with the unlock; until then, pressing it opens the unlock. What does it cost?
What it says
- Vernacular report, the version of macOS and the date. Never your Mac’s name, since a report is often sent to someone else.
- The answer.
- A lane for each thing in the checklist: everything that needs you, and every app that already can’t open.
- What to do first for each one, numbered.
- At the foot, Apple’s statement on Rosetta and where it’s from.
Send it
- Copy as Text puts it on the clipboard, to paste into an email or a message. The text has each one’s name, its verdict, its sentence and all its steps, with Apple’s sentence and both of Apple’s pages at the end.
- Save as PDF saves the page where you choose, named “Vernacular report.pdf”.
Vernacular never sends the report anywhere itself. Done closes it.
