Get started with Rolltop
Choose Desktop and Downloads, say where your screenshots go, and Rolltop reads them.
Rolltop explains what's on your Desktop and in Downloads. The first time you open it, it asks two things.
Steps
- Under Choose the folders Rolltop may look after, press Choose… beside Desktop, and choose your Desktop folder in the window that opens. Do the same for Downloads. Apps from the App Store only see folders you choose, and macOS remembers your choice. The folders Rolltop looks after
- Under Where do your screenshots go?, choose Desktop (the macOS default) or Downloads. macOS doesn't let other apps read this setting; to check it, press ⇧⌘5 and look under Options › Save to.
- Press Continue. Rolltop reads both folders and opens on the Overview.
The first time, Rolltop reads the text in every screenshot: "Reading 36 screenshots on this Mac". The first one takes a moment. Nothing leaves your Mac, and nothing moves until you press Apply. Apply a run
