Apply a run
Every change is shown first. Nothing moves until you press Apply.
Renames, moves and moves to the Trash wait in a list until you apply them together: a run.
- Press Apply 36 changes in the toolbar (or Go › Apply…, ⌘Return).
- Here's what will change shows every change. Nothing has moved yet. Each folder shows how many files stay and how many move ("Desktop 51 now → 29 stay, 22 moved"), every file's new name and where it goes, and This run: how many are renamed from their text, moved to a folder, and moved to the Trash.
- Press Apply, or Cancel to change nothing.
Afterwards a note says what happened, such as "36 put away, 0 moved to the Trash. One Undo puts it all back." Undo a run
When a file is left out
- No longer there, or changed since you chose it: it's left out of the run, and stays as it is.
- Rolltop can't read it, or that name can't be a file name: it's left out too.
- The name is taken: Rolltop adds " 2" before the extension, and shows it in the list first.
Without the unlock, Rolltop acts on one file at a time (the Rename button, Review One by One, or Move to Trash in a file's details). A run of more than one file shows Unlock to apply all 36. What does it cost?
