Alerts
A notification when an app runs away, memory runs short, or an app keeps growing.
Alerts are part of the unlock, and every one starts off. Switch them on in Settings › Alerts or on the Alerts screen:
- An app runs away: busy above two cores for 10 minutes.
- Memory runs short: after two minutes in the short zone.
- Memory keeps climbing: an app grows steadily for an hour, like a leak.
At most once an hour per app (on by default) stops one busy app from interrupting you again and again. Notifications look like macOS’s own and have a Show button for the app.
macOS asks once whether Procession may send notifications, when you switch the first alert on. If you said no, switch them on in System Settings › Notifications › Procession.
