When Porchlight watches
While your Mac is awake, and it catches up when it wakes.
- Status pages are read every minute. Most answer "nothing new" at almost no cost.
- Releases and changelogs are read every hour, and pages without a feed once a day.
- Domains and certificates are read once a day.
You can slow these down in Settings › Watching.
A Mac can't watch while it's asleep. When it wakes, Porchlight catches up and says so in one line. Anything that started and ended while it slept goes to History, not a notification.
When your Mac is offline, Porchlight shows what was last true and turns nothing amber because of it.
