Affecting you, might have, not you
How Porchlight decides whether a vendor’s outage reached your app.
Every incident is judged against your app before Porchlight says anything:
- Not you: the incident hit a part your app doesn't use, a region it doesn't run in, or a model it doesn't call. The reason is always shown: "Only claude.ai, which Tessera doesn't use", "Only in us-central1; Lumen Photo runs in europe-west1".
- Might have: it hit something your app uses, and nothing on your side says either way. A connection can settle it. Connections
- Affecting you: it hit something your app uses, and your own side shows it: a failing check, failed workflow runs or Porchlight's own Stripe check.
When a vendor doesn't say which part an incident hit, it stays in History as a possibility and doesn't interrupt you.
