Connections
Optional, read-only, and kept in your Keychain.
Every status page, release and date is read without an account. Connections make the verdicts sharper:
- GitHub: a fine-grained token with read-only access to Actions and Metadata on your app's repo. Porchlight reads when your workflows ran, so an Actions outage becomes "No workflow runs then" or "affecting you". Make a GitHub token
- Stripe: a restricted key with Balance: Read only. Porchlight checks the API itself every 5 minutes, often before the status page says anything. It can't see customers or payouts.
If a connection stops working, Porchlight says so and what still works. Remove any connection in Settings › Connections.
