Free space used by old simulator devices
One Terminal command removes simulator devices that can no longer run.
Xcode creates a simulator device for each iPhone, iPad and Watch you test on. Devices for iOS versions you've since removed can't start any more, but they still take space.
- In Cachet, open Simulators in the sidebar and click Copy next to the command:
xcrun simctl delete unavailable
- Click Open Terminal, paste the command and press Return. It takes a few seconds.
- Come back to Cachet. It scans again and shows what you got back.
Only devices that can no longer run are removed. Your apps, projects and the simulators you use stay as they are.
